Mission Statement

At Mén Beni Gardening, we are a Black and Haitian-led nonprofit rooted in ancestral wisdom, dedicated to cultivating food sovereignty, mental wellness, and land-based healing in BIPOC communities. Our mission is to Renew the body, Reconnect the mind, and Reawaken the spirit through community gardens, cultural education, and sustainable wellness programs that honor our heritage, uplift our stories, and restore our connection to the land.

Vision Statement

We envision a future where Black, Haitian, and Indigenous communities are fully restored in our relationship to land, culture, and spirit. Through healing gardens, ancestral practices, and collective wellness, Mén Beni Gardening seeks to reclaim what was stolen: our food systems, our sovereignty, and our connection to Earth. We imagine a world where every child grows up with access to nourishing food, sacred spaces, and the wisdom of their ancestors guiding the way. Our vision is one of radical care, rooted joy, and generational healing for us and the seven generations after us.
